Depression Treatment

You are not alone

It’s not difficult to find examples of depression if you know the symptoms — anyone can struggle with it. You can find depression in art, music, books, movies, and sports. Your neighbor can have depression, or your coworker, friend, mayor, or even your local PTA mom. Depression can be found all around us, but a lot of people still may not know the extent of what it truly means and how it affects those who have it. For a long time, depression has been stigmatized, and only discussed behind closed doors, but we’re here to shed some light on it. Let’s take a closer look at what it means to have depression and how someone struggling with it can find the support they need to feel hope again.

What Is Depression?

In short, depression is a common mood disorder that brings on feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and emptiness that can disrupt your daily functioning.

Symptoms of Depression

Depression looks different for everyone who experiences it. For some people, depression is lying in bed, unable to get up for days on end.

The WIDE Spectrum of Depression
Depression is not a one-size-fits-all condition.
It can range from a normal reaction to a sad experience to major depressive disorder.

Each person may experience a different severity and duration of their depression.

But no matter how depressed you are, it can still affect many areas of your life, and you deserve help and support. Let’s take a look at the different types of depression.

How an IOP Can Help you With Depression

When it comes to managing depression, there are a wide range of treatment options available to you. The right approach for you may be therapy, medication, lifestyle changes, running a half marathon, or even knitting if that’s what motivates you. It may be one of these things or a combination of multiple methods. Each treatment will be unique to you. At With, we offer an intensive outpatient program, or IOP, that helps connect you to others who are also struggling with depression.

An IOP provides a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment. Our team offers flexible treatment and support through group therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. We’re here to support you on your journey — a journey that ends with you regaining control of your mental health and living a fulfilling life.

Break Out of Your
Depression Cycle

Solipsism is the philosophy that the only person’s existence we can be sure of is our own because only our mind exists. Depression can feel a lot like that. Like you’re the only person who’s struggling. But you’re not alone. Asking for help, seeking treatment, and sharing your innermost thoughts can feel like a challenge. We’re not here to say it’s going to be easy, but it is the first step to getting the support you need. It’s time to break the cycle. Contact us to join our community at With, so you can regain your mental health and enjoy life again.
